Ahh verbal judo. Basic logic can understand that God drowned children (Noah), killed children by the sword (war command), killed children in their sleep (Passover), or when Satan was Allowed by God to kill Job's kids...Or, over a week, slowly killed David's baby... then eventually allowed his son to be killed in a blood sacrifice to save us from himself…? Hmmm, love me or I’ll commit you to an eternal hell which I created. That’s not love, that’s a dysfunctional, abusive relationship. If we treated our children that way, ‘love me or I’ll hurt you’, we’d be considered disgusting and criminal.
