Maturing is realizing six literally was trying to help him the whole time. In order for him to even become that; he had to NOT go through the TV. Six kept taking him out of it everytime he was getting a connection with it; but once he goes in. Theres no way of stopping the timeloop.

Are we forgetting that Six was literally kidnapped by Mono's adult self? She only let him go because she thought Mono would grow up to be a monster. Not to mention she's literally a child surviving a nightmare world. She very obviously had to learn to do whatever it took to survive.
