People lost their homes in the wildfires 2 summers ago. Others were in the woods with matches deliberately setting the forest on fire. All it takes is one bad person to ruin it for everyone.

Go join your local volunteer fire department!! The sane people are having flashbacks of Tantalon 2023 fires. 290 homes destroyed. Thousands displaced for weeks even years if there home are not rebuilt. NO ONE IS TAKING YOUR RIGHTS AWAY. This is temporary!! When conditions improve bans will be lifted!! $25,000 to go hiking... I said it during the pandemic that this was only the beginning and they'd start pushing draconian laws and fines for "climate" concerns. I also said the policies would probably come from the Maritimes first just like the pandemic.

Hiking ban doesn't make sense, fires and vehicles do. A vehicle with any engine has an exhaust pipe can start a fire when the exhaust pipe heats up. I have seen this happen in dry grass.

The avg. # of wildfires in NS is 185.4 per year based on the last 10 years of data. Wildfire season runs March - Oct (7 months) so avg is 26.5 a month. We are in Aug - so we are avg 20 per month this season. Seems its less active than our avg by available data. 100% government overreach
