I’m a strong believer that Kids need to be bored, makes them more productive.

Constantly trying to think of places to take her 😭 feel so guilty if we have a day at home playing and watching films. Never ending cycle

Its all for social media now so people can brag on social media and put cute aesthetics posts on of all their fancy trips out every other day with their kids. I barely ever used to go to a softplay growing up, was only when i got invited to a birthday party at one. Often times my family just used to take us all out for walks and the occasional big family day out somewhere in the national trust lol. Alot of the time i remember chilling and playing at home

I am constantly saying to my children go and find something to do because I refuse to constantly keep them entertained. it's good build for their character to be bored - patience.

It’s because adults feel guilty for working, our mums or nans didn’t work, so parents of today are always trying to compensate for not spending time with our kids

Agree, but when I was a kid I was out playing with loads of other kids. This isn’t the case anymore so they are just indoors on their own.

I took my kids to Asda the other day, sat in the cafe for a bit then did the big food shop. Drove back home had a chill, baked some cookies. They had a blast lol

when my daughter was 2 if I asked her what she wanted to do that day she would 1000% say go to the shop and that would just be a quick trip to Tesco for milk, she loved it 😂

So nice to see someone ‘famous’ talk like this, I feel such a bad mum for a stay at home day and just struggle to constantly do something as I feel my kids ‘missing out’ if I don’t, so thank you! I was a bedroom 90’s kid and didn’t think anything of it
