For computer science it has little to do with AI and more to do with supply and demand. I’m a software engineer and have been for the last 10 years and I can tell you unequivocally that AI hasn’t taken a single job yet. But the supply for software engineers has skyrocketed due to the years of telling everyone to do computer science.

Percent rates should be held with a grain of salt. If group A has 10 people and 7 are unemployed, 70% unemployment rate. If group b has 100 people but 7 unemployed number drops to 7% unemployment rate
