Also! don't be afraid to take messy/jumbled notes in class, and go back and rewrite them later. there are often connections between parts of lectures that you wont know until after, but you'll want to note

I do this same style, I don't do fancy banners though I just underline headings (or bold it on laptops). And ny bullet points are dot, dash, star and repeat
