Average bosses hate high performers. They prefer playing politics and covering up their flaws instead of rising to the challenge.

Tristan Robinson :
high performance employees are not hard to manage, they solve problems not create them. hard to manage employees are just problems who think they're high performance.

“High performers” are often masters at claiming credit and moving on, leaving the real and difficult work to the completer-finishers… so beware difference between high performers and “high performers”

Yeah but what you expect ? Bosses to fire themselves? High performers need to accept this world is not perfect. One day it will be their time on the top, feeding off the work of their underlings

I respectfully disagree , a few feel entitled because they are great at their tasks and demand special treatment and accommodations

I’m being completely GASLIT for being a high performer for asking questions, clear expectations and processes. And when I bring ideas…shutdown

High performers often push boundaries, which can make them seem difficult, but it s all about driving results and innovation. Great insights here!

I’m a high performer at work and I got leadership that respects that. I’ve got a lot of responsibilities outside my job description and my leaders bounce ideas off me if they need a second opinion. I also have free rain on shifts where are aren’t specific tasks needs doing as they know I won’t slack off and do a lot of «invisible work» as we call it. Been told that if my health had allowed me to work fulltime I would have been put on a leadership course.

I left a job because the managers hid exactly behind phrases just like that, not calling lazy people up on poor performance

I’ve recently moved locations for work and am moving locations again as the location I came from was extremely high performing. The new location celebrates mid range CQSMAs that don’t even hit bonus territory where as my old location would look for any improvements to be made even if we placed top of region or company,

This is so true. I raised a major issue. My former bosses were more occupied trying to control the narrative or to cover up their inadequacy. There was no need to. It could’ve been a learning experience for everyone and something that would create development, in stead it ended up with half of the working stock leaving.

yep, happened to me, the disillusionment hit hard cuz I respected my immediate boss and I loved my job. but I am working for my own professional growth now and simply ignore my managers. if they don't try to micromanage me, we'll be fine, but the respect is indeed lost and there's no going back on that.

I am called and considered a competent, high performer. Management hired someone with no aptitude for the position. I'm losing my mind!

Yes but regular bosses don’t like it if you’re a high performer and ask questions, especially when you’re finding errors 👈

the entire notion of "having a job" and "running a successful businesses" is absolutely destroyed because of the sheer amount of people who get hired as managers are incompetent. they are an economic disaster
