😭Ham Towers is the ghetto, so why does this place feel like Pinterest? 📍 Nayaab Restaurant, Ham Towers So I went to Nayaab — and let me just say it: Ham Towers is the ghetto. If you know, you know. But from the moment I walked in, it’s like a different dimension. The place is modern, clean, and the interior design is so tastefully done. The lighting is everything— warm and cozy but still bright enough to get your content — and the way the space is set up? You get the most gorgeous sunset view if you go at the right time. I was lucky enough☺️ I was a little skeptical because of the many negative things I’ve been seeing, but I’ve just realized, this restaurant has been all the hype on the internet, and — I went on a weekday, and it was still pretty packed. I think this is something we’re seeing a lot in Kampala: the moment a new restaurant opens, people flock in for pictures, and it stays full for weeks. If you’re thinking of going, I’d say aim for an early weekday visit. That’s probably your best shot at a calm experience — otherwise, be ready for crowds. Anyway, we started off with drinks — the lemon mint lemonade and the mango mojito, both going for 15,000 UGX. The lemonade was a solid choice — refreshing, sour without being too sharp, and not overly sweet. Just the kind of drink you want on a hot Kampala day. The mango mojito caught me off guard, though. It came out green, not mango-coloured at all, and honestly, it tasted more like mint with a subtle hint of mango. Not what I expected, but still cooling and pleasant. We also tried the chicken sandwich with chips (15,000 UGX) and the Dom Nayaab Special Burger with chips (26,000 UGX). The chicken sandwich was okay — nothing wrong with it, but nothing exciting either. Basic. But the Dom Burger? That was a moment. If a burger and a pizza had a child, a love child😂 this would be it. It’s not your typical burger. Think cheesy pizza dough, packed with toppings and two patties — chicken and beef. I preferred the chicken (juicier), my friend liked the beef. It’s loaded, fun, and surprisingly affordable for what you get. But that being said, the Indian cuisine is really what my focus would be if I were you and the next time it definitely will be..! But let’s talk about the lava cake with ice cream (15,000 UGX) because this — this was the highlight. Beautifully presented, perfectly molten, and the taste? Just sweet enough, rich but not overwhelming. I’m a big dessert girl, but only when it’s balanced, and this one nailed it. I was busy trying to take a video in the sunset light — being that girl, yes — and a few people at the next table were giggling at my content-creator moment. But hey, aesthetic comes first, right?
