@yucantfindmehehe: If you’ve only got 1–2 days in Belgium, don’t skip Ghent. It’s less touristy than Bruges but just as beautiful—medieval streets, canals, and cool student vibes. Quick tips: – Skip public transport, everything is walkable. If needed, there is a 9€ day pass valid for 24h from the time of purchase. Tickets are bought at a machine next to the stations and bus/tram stops. – Free views from St. Michael’s Bridge & Saint Bavo’s Cathedral tower (small fee for the elevator). – Best fries at De Frietketel, and YES, try the stoofvlees sauce. Also try the "ghent nose"/Cuberdon. Cheaper at Kruidvat than souvenir stores. – Take the tram if you’re arriving by train bcs it’s a long walk into the city centre. – Most things close early, start your day early. Streets are empty before 11am and gets more crowded after. – Go out at night, Ghent lights up after dark, and it’s stunning. Night life after 11pm is bustling.
