Somewhat opposite situation. My girls are 2 years apart but used to look very identical when they were little. People used to ask me if they were twins, I’d always say no. One lady said “are you sure?” WTF do you mean am I sure!? 😂😂😂 People are weird.

Ok but in all seriousness, the only way to know for sure if by taking a test. If you just took your mom’s word for it, she could be wrong. Fraternal twins sometimes look identical and identical twins sometimes don’t look exactly alike.
