#9- oh my goodness. Dont drag into wk in sweat and a bun. You know who you are..... As a hiring mgr/ business owner/ recruiter ( all different jobs)- You'd be shocked how many people do this! And Im a nurse. So yeah, pjs daily - but makeup and cute hair! And in your interview, nurse or otherwise, no scrubbs, sweats, lululemons etc. IT MATTERS. But Ill admit, Im sensitive, and I had a stern preceptor. I blinked back tears at criticism more than you think. Im just sensitive I guess. Suck it up- or hide it well ( my contacts are driving me crazy lol- i used that a lot). But it took me losing a job to hit on the dependability point. I had a newborn, but missed work for a couple pounding headaches that I couldve lived through with Advil!!!!!!!!!!!! Stuff happens, be as dependable as you possibly can. Go to work with a mask on if you have a cold. Itll earn some points for you. Or THEY will send you home. 2 cents from a mom, nurse, and a bit of a flake who tries to stomp out that perception of me to myself and others!!!!
