@aiinthesandbox: If you’ve ever prompted an LLM (like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, etc.), then you’ve done prompt engineering. 

That said, there are better ways to prompt and not so great ways to prompt. That’s probably why being a Prompt Engineer became a term people use. 

Engineer implies a certain level of knowledge, and if you are good at prompting, you are good at getting useful results. We still think it’s a kinda fancy way to say you are good at asking for what you want and getting the results that help.
