Measure the opening, subtract 3/16 or 1/4” depending on how confident you are you made the boxes square. Done.

I’ve no idea what an 8/16/35 of half an inch is… but the rest of the world just measure the opening and makes stuff to fit. I’d have given a 2mm spacing. My drawings would have shown that… it’s pretty simple

I’m so confused on how to properly align the hinges on the inside of the cabinet. I can’t think of how to get the proper depth so the door is flush.

great trick to skip the sanding to a line i use a track saw for openings that are a bit out of square
