one step closer to belonging in a classical painting ✨ more tips: - I usually just do this with dry hair / no product, and that works for me! I’ve also found that it turns out the best on my first / second day hair since it’s moisturized & can take the curl better 🫶🏻 - though it looks like a 3-strand braid, it isn’t quite! it’s important to keep the tie as straight as possible, and focus on wrapping your hair sections around that :) - this usually lasts about 3 days for me, and longer if I do updo’s! - you absolutely do not have to have long hair to do these curls! using the two ties like this makes it so that folks with shorter hair can get the back sections of their hair curled too 💖 written instructions: 1. part your hair into four sections. I part mine behind my ears, and down the center back. 2. pin the center of a bath robe tie on the top of your head 3. holding the tie, grab a small front section of hair, then wrap it over the tie, then back under. repeat using a top back section of hair, wrapping over the tie, then back under. 4. similar to a french braid, add a small section of hair to your front section, then continue to wrap it over, then under. repeat with the back section & continue 5. once you’ve run out of hair to add, continue wrapping the two sections down the length of your hair, then secure at the end with an elastic. 6. repeat steps 3-5 with the other front section. 7. pin a second bath robe tie to the back crown of your head. 8. repeat steps 3-5 with both back sections of hair. 9. if you so desire, wrap all four sections around your head, then add a silk scarf for protection while you sleep :) 10. wait at least 6 hours, then unravel your sections. separate the curl clumps, shake your roots, and admire your pre-raphaelite curls! 🫶🏻 outfit details: white shift - made by me white stays - made by me wishing you a lovely lovely lovely thursday :)
