Hi thank you for this! I’ve been in the ICU for 6 years and recently made the switch to Cath Lab. Do CRNA programs consider Cath Lab to be critical care?

3.4 GPA in undergrad. Just finished my first semester of CRNA school. GPA is not everything to get in, but it sure does help. If I could go back to undergrad I would have worked harder to get a higher GPA in nursing school.

3.2 bc I goofed off. Took the miller analogy test instead of the GRE. Scored in the 98th percentile. Was like all of the useless info I had acquired came together beautifully on that test. So I got in and 20 yrs later here I am. Best job on the planet

Thank you for this. Im switching to an asn program from bsn. Get my icu experience and get my bsn while working. Then apply. Hopefully this route will still get me to CRNA school

This is the scary part for me because my GPA was a 3.5 before I started nursing school. When I graduated was less than 3 I think it was literally a 2.9 but no one in my cohort had a GPA above a 3.1 and it was literally because the nursing instructors failed us so hard our starting group was 60 our graduating group was 15. I graduated almost 5 years ago, and I still have not gone back for my BSN. I’ve literally been too scared. I’ve only started now poking around the idea of going back to school. I know this time around I’m going to stand up for myself I was a scared guy when I was in nursing school, but if I go back, I’m going to go back for a reason like a CRNA and not just an BSN

It’s been so hard trying to get back into the ICU. I have about 10 months experience in ICU but now that I’ve worked in the OR for 2.5 years, hospitals don’t even consider me. Idk what to do. Moving isn’t an option rn. Makes me want to just go the CAA route.

3.6 overall undergrad. 3.4 prerequisite science course gpa. Retook half my science courses to get an A and boost GPA since I mostly got Bs. Any shot? I’ve shadowed, precepted, taking my ccrn soon.
