sola scriptura not found in the Bible… by the same logic the trinity and the “rapture” aren’t found in the Bible… just my observation of that arguement

The Scriptures established the church, the church DID NOT establish the Scriptures. The traditions that Paul is telling us to hold to is the GOSPEL of Jesus. I’m sorry bro but what you just said is word for word what so many RC’s on this app say. When speaking on the 7 Apocrypha books, even early church fathers like Athenatious

“How can a infallible thing come from a fallible thing”, brother that is the story of the Bible. God using broken things to do his work. David was fallible, Jesus came from his line. Paul was fallible, yet he wrote scripture.

No ya this guy is chasing the likes disguising it under learning. Learning scripture alone is all he should be worried about. He hasn’t had this much activity & likes when all he would do is teach is scripture alone. If all he’s looking for is what what fits catholic narrative then he’s catholic. I used to like his stuff and share his stuff all the time because if eat sad that his messages weren’t reaching more eyes. All i can do is pray for him now. He’s not doing this for the right reasons

If Jesus didn’t quote it, affirm it, or fulfill it… I won’t build doctrine on it

The Bible canon was mostly formed before the great schism, when the Catholic Church split from the Orthodox Church. To say that the Catholic Church canonized the Bible is misleading. They left the original church and changed their doctrines. There is no true continuity

Will, I really appreciate your videos but I hope you can address some of the ridiculous fighting that’s been happening in the comments of your last few videos. I think these conversations are interesting and there’s a lot to be learned about early church history but the Bible warns against creating these kinds of debates among believers. Whether the Catholic Church is infallible or not does not save anyone’s soul or bring them closer to Christ. Watching other believers call each other ignorant and other names really disturbs my spirit tbh.

Was David fallible? Scripture shows clearly he was. Moses? Peter? Paul? I can keep going. The Holy Spirit inspired it. When any institution tells you do this even though it contradicts scripture because the next door neighbor of Peter said so 2000yrs ago, follow scripture.

God prophesied false teachings would come 1 Timothy 4:1. That people would stray from the Word. ALL churches can fail. Which proves we have to stay tethered to God’s living, breathing Word alone that is unchanging. Acts 17:11.

I’ll explain: God can use anyone for good and work through them. Look at Peter. Out of faith Peter confesses Jesus is messiah and lord, then come the verses Catholics think are Peter being made a pope. 6 verses later Jesus is rebuking Peter and telling him to “get behind me Satan”. Look all throughout the Bible and history. Have any of the people God used been perfect? Any of them? Not a single one of them becomes infallible because of how God used them. Same with church. God may have used the Catholic Church to compile his holy word, doesn’t make the church infallible. And secondly, if the Catholic Church is Infallible because God used them to compile scripture, using that same argument means the Jews are Infallible for receiving and compiling books found in the Old Testament. As Christians we know that is absolutely not the truth

sinless Mary isnt in Scripture along with many other things. careful playig that game. Constantine believed he had to be baptized at the end of his life in fear of sinning too much. maybe theology is allowed to develop and be analyzed deeper when people are actually literate and its not under lock and key.

1. we can see the church is fallible simply when we recognize that Paul had to write to many churches for correction which are the letters in the new testament. 2. scripture didn't come from the church, it's God's word spoken through the writings of men. 3. The "traditions" in 2 thessalonians 2:15 Paul is referring to the gospel message. 4. modern inconsistent Protestants doesn't disproves protestantism. 5. Luther wanted to reform the church and remove the man made traditions the church came up with. they forced him out thus the catholic church was responsible for the Protestants reformation

What really made me convinced to convert to Catholicism was realizing that if we as protestants claim to have the Bible as our sole authority then why did the men who started the protestant tradition take out books and Luther wanted to take out the book of James bc it went against his understanding...:/ I was like...why am I trusting the fruits of that over the Catholic Church which has proven to be the most consistent over time
