That is awesome. The founder of our company ( my mom) was a medical billing and coding instructor for a very long time. She used to tell people that they could use medicalbillingandcoding.org to help them navigate through material for free. Also the centers for Medicare and Medicaid services CMS.gov they are the federal (Medicare) and state (Medicaid) services. She would also recommend not to bother becoming a certified biller. Learn the revenue cycle (the whole patient process) process but get your coding certification instead. We are breaking down the process for you. And if anyone has any questions feel free to ask us.

Devry here.. it took me a year i’ll be done in 3 weeks. My experience… throw away the first 6 months but after that it’s been great and i’ve got financial aid

I used aapc… i did check into Penn Foster and I check them against the course with AAPC they offered majority the same. But would have to recheck the accreditations

I went to University of Houston’s online and special programs and found my medical billing and coding courses on there. Came with my books, AAPC and AHIMA exam options, two attempts at the exam of my choice and a year of membership for the organization I chose.

My son works administration in healthcare. He said that very few medical offices have coders- billers way more in demand because the biller uses a software that codes.

What about a certification, offered by the Board of Medical Specialty Coding and Compliance (BMSC), for home health coding. I see many home health coding positions require you to have a Home Care Coding Specialist-Diagnosis (HCS-D) certification.
