the fullbringer arc was really important for ichigo his whole goal is to protect his friends and family a goal that sound simple but is actually such a hard goal to complete his whole character is based around getting stronger to save his friends and in the fullbringer arc he was the one that needed to be saved. the same thing he uses to protect his friends was taken away from him TWICE in such a critical situation and he could not do anything i feel like that arc was really important to show how ichigo was still just a teenager with powers or not

arguably the most crucial arc. if the fulbring arc didn't exist or was replaced by something more akin to the ss and tybw arcs, ichigo would not be the amazing Mc he is. I'm always happy when the author gives the Mc chances to grow.
