The spicules are already pushing the serum into the deeper layers of your face. Why are you scratching up your skin with the spoolie? The whole point of the spicules is that they do the work to imbed the serum. Just use your fingers.

Please be so careful using a mascara wand around your lips. It’s an extremely delicate area and exfoliating too much, too hard, too often will cause the lines and age the area FASTER than you can imagine! Be very gentle under eyes and around lips.
