I signed up for an app via a website. When they gave me access to the app it wasn’t what I expected. I straight away asked to cancel but they told me I still have to pay a year’s subscription as I’d wavered my right to the cooling off period in the terms and conditions

by this rationale one can buy a car, ignore operators reaponsibilies, fluid levels, dashwarning lights, thrash the fk out of it, day 29 say na, not for me.

What about if you purchase a clothing item online and it’s on sale, the item doesn’t fit and the retailer doesn’t offer exchanges. Instead the retailer will only offer store credit not your money back. There’s also no guarantee the item will be restocked before the sale is over so you’d be forced to repurchase the item at a higher amount if you take the store credit?

I leased a car. Not arrived yet. It’s waiting at showroom. I can’t get insured on it. Wasn’t ordered from factory, it was on site. I’m still in my 15 days cooling period. Can I still cancel? Showroom said I can’t? I can only cancel finance agreement, and not the purchase (which doesn’t make sense, because it’s a lease, and I don’t own it). Payment is due to go out for the deposit in 3 weeks. What’s your thoughts?
