There’s a electricity plant in dumfries VA on the potomac river, that put toxic waste in the water do not eat any fish or swim in the water

D.C. is not an industrial city. The Potomac currently has a B+ rating. If you’re comfortable breathing the air along the Potomac River, you can be comfortable eating the fish.

Our sewage system still overflows into that river that’s why they’re building a new tunnel to help with that issue.

They say that you can eat them but just don’t consume a lot of it in a week or month if I remember correctly. That water is highly polluted. It’s a reason why that it’s sign posted up not to swim in it.

they use to and maybe still do catch them keep them alive , transport to " farm " ponds . resell a period of time later as farm raised.

It comes from years ago.It is said there are high amounts of toxic,heavy metals in the bottom/silt.This is where catfish live laying swimming eating off this same bottom. Not reccomended. Just there and witnessed water sking, and this same concern crossed my mind.

Lmao i just want y’all to know the fresh fish y’all buy from Safeway, giant & shoppers comes from Anacostia. Sometimes it does. But truth be told who knows the type of water the fish ppl get from stores come from lol muddy dirty water
