Scott is doing something really sneaky and dishonest here. When the economy is rapidly changing, the data and models can’t keep up. This is why you end up with revisions. What is actually happening here is that the economy is slowing at such an extreme rate, caused solely by this Administration’s policies, that the revisions are massive. If we’re not in a recession now we soon will be. The stock market is not an anomoly. The S&P 500 is a wreck. It’s tech companies massive investments in the AI bubble are keeping the stock market afloat. Data center construction is now outpacing consumer spending! We’re in the midst of a massive crash in the real economy.

A standard deviation can be understood in terms of its actual mean and Ferrel doesn’t addressed it. 1 standard deviation can mean .01, 1 or 100 away from de mean. Release the report and there are very good statisticians in every university who can check it.
