@xela.travels: Worried about making friends while solo travelling? I completely get it. I was too. I even had a good cry when I first arrived at the hostel and regretted going travelling instantly because I was so far from home.. 😅 But honestly, ten minutes after going down to the social area, I didn’t feel alone at all. I met some amazing people, real friends for life, just by putting myself out there. And by the end of my trip, I genuinely started enjoying my own company and having space when I needed it. If you’re nervous, here are my top tips: 1. Stay in social hostels. Always check Hostelworld reviews. 2. Join hostel events. There’s usually something on every night. 3. Do free walking tours. Guru is great, you just tip the guide as they are usually amazing and earn very little. 4. Try food tours. These are my absolute favourite!!!! I used Airbnb Experiences. 5. Just try your best to put yourself out there and talk to people. Ask what their plans are or say hi. Most are super open. You’ve got this.
