In my opinion, the only useful thing there is the spear. It should be the only thing, as the other pieces are exactly that. Pieces. Screws the structural strength and makes it only as strong as multiple threaded attachment points. Wack something hard enough and it’s a gadget grenade. Just give hikers and old folks a surprise stabby. Simplicity is its own reward.

a big flaw in it is that each compartment is hollow, meaning each compartment is a weak point. Now not saying it wouldn't be useful but I've seen solid metal piping bend under someone's weight. I can only imagine since its segmented then it would be weaker than a solid pipe.
