honestly the ppl that scream "he should've never lived this long anyway' dont want progress in veterinary science

I’ve been following Katie for awhile and I remember when Baby Seven was born I am going to cry when it happens, but I understand why

I don’t agree her decision keeping this horse around for this long. She hasn’t done him any favors except selfishly put him through a lot to monetize her platform even more and prolong the inevitable.

All the ppl saying “she shouldn’t have let him live after he was born” are the same ppl that would be hysterical if she had let him go 🙄 she would never be able to “win” in this situation!!

I guess the way I look at it is if a senior horse had that amount of limited mobility, there would be no questions regarding euthanasia. It’s sad, yes, but ultimately that baby is actively suffering.

All the know-it- alls and judgemental people in this comment section 🙄 She's already stated that if she could go back to when he was born, with the knowledge of she's got now, she would have made different decisions. She made the decisions she thought were best at the time. Every decision she's ever made has been under the guidance of and in partnership with a veterinary team. Just give it a rest 🙄

he's a clout magnet for katie and living science specimen for vets. His quality of life isn't optimal,....I mean yes he gets the basic care but he can never truly be a horse plus there's little to no information on caring for foals born this young, it's uncharted territory.

She had a chance to do the humane thing when he was born decided to give him a chance to survive but after the first month all of the views and all the money she was making she just decided to keep it going very heartbreaking for the horse

Honestly see both sides of this. Personally, I couldn’t make this foal comfortable in my current situation, and morally I wouldn’t have taken this challenge on. She had the resources to try, tried it, and is at least listening to vet input which is more than some equine influencers can say. One fact is, seven did give vets a ton of new research into premie foals that we didn’t have a lot of before which is truly fantastic and can hopefully help future cases and their quality of living

Been following his whole journey. In my unprofessional opinion hes never looked to be suffering. His health has obviously been a roller coaster and hes undoubtedly been uncomfortable at times but ultimately thats all hes knows, and so long as theyve managed any potential pain, i see nothing wrong with her decision to keep this going as long as she has. But ultimately i agree that the time may be coming to let him join the great big pasture in the sky🥺

You guys know absolutely nothing about horses, so stop saying "I don't agree with this" she's done so much for him and helped vets. You guys are so ungrateful for life, you'd rather take something life away than let it live. PLEASE STOP COMMENTING IF YOU KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HORSES.

I am really impressed the things she has done for baby 7. Sadly, this cannot be a good life for a horse.

I don't think so long living in an equine hospital, being in casts, surgeries, needing help moving around, ect was worth it for such a small window of "happiness". I've believed he should have been euthanized from the beginning.

Seven has given VALUABLE information and research that will benefit future premie foals. Seven has lived the absolute best life he could have lived and that wouldn’t have happened with anyone else.

I think Katie is getting so much hate for trying to see if this foal could possibly have a chance at life. It’s not like she wanted him to be born as early as he was. Yeah she could’ve put him down when she found him but she chose to take every chance and see what they could do for him. Seven has given so many new insights to the vet world and has shown us what happens to premature foals when every measure is taken. If anything Katie has thrown a lot of money into vet med to be a base case for this situation.

i don't like kvs but if 7 was in the hands of a normal horse owner he would've never made it. she's got more money than sense but it's worked out in 7s favor. he's provided are rare learning experience to his care team, which is important from a scholarly pov. planing for his future like this is good for 7. people like to compare him to the 3 legged foal Rocky. 7s case is being handled a lot better than rocky's bc kvs has money to pour into 7, and it isn't even comparable rocky and his "rescue".

What I will say, is that his vet care has put through a lot of answers for more horses to receive further care in the future regarding arthritis, premature birth, and more. If there’s one thing about KVS, is that she has the funds to take care of these horses. She’s being realistic.
