that’s what’s wrong with some of these kids. They feel they can do whatever then can tell a different story. They grow up with no respect. Mom did what she had to do. Not abuse just disciple.

First, I don’t condone her hitting her child with a belt. Second, it sounds like her intentions were good, to stop her child from bringing a boy into the home. She’s trying to teach her daughter what she did was wrong, and possibly prevent a teenage pregnancy.

How do we teach a child anything by Corporal punishment. How about communication. If I’m losing my shit, what’s that teach my child? I am not regulating my emotions, but expecting perfection from them? That’s why kids grow up not emotionally regulated. Love and communication go a long way. Understand they ARE HUMAN no matter what their age. Enough with this hitting nonsense. It doesn’t work. It’s temporary relief for a parents lack of ability to control themselves. Do better.
