Guys I I’m pretty sure he just mean the ornamental don’t product enough seed to be efficient for feeding unless you have a bunch.

"ornamental" sunflower seeds are the same ar "edable" ones. Just smaller. No need to lie for advertisment. And animal protein is way better becouse sunflower oil is bad for birds. Sunflower meal after squeezing oil is way better. And its usually included in good chicken food .

I grow sunflowers from black oil sunflower seeds in the summer. Harvest and store for the winter. Gotta beat the birds to them though 😅
