The digital tool you were using only measures dissolved solids. These include good minerals found naturally in spring water. Same for the second test strip, it sounds like it measured high in mineral content, which isn't out of the ordinary for spring water. They dont filter out healthy salts and metals

Kroger water is purified water. Basically distilled water. Aka dead water that doesn’t hydrate you. Mountain valley is mineral water so it’s going to have more ppm in it but you never know what those minerals are

There is a series on Netflix called down-to-earth with zac efron. There is an episode about how bad our water here is in the states. season and 1 of the first few episodes.Really opened my eyes👀. I no longer drink any bottled water.
