Realistically, once someone realizes it’s attached they’ll probably let go because stealing purses like that is a spur of the moment thing and once they’ve been around you long enough to be recognized they’d be in more danger taking it, so they usually run off

idk man in my experience if people act like they have valuables they are way more likely to be robbed. my grandma for example always clutches her purse like her life depends on it and shes been robbed like 7 times in her life.
