my aunt would take her meds with milk or apple juice bc its thicker. She said it helped her meds go down easier.

water first. If it's a pill lean your head back because gravity will make it drop to the back of your throat. If it's a capsule they float so lean your head forward so they go to the back and make sure it's in long ways not width when you put it in your mouth

if it's a capsule, take it apart and put it in a applesauce snack cup. if it's solid, cut it down to smaller pcs that you can swallow easier. my daughter does this as she can't even swallow aspirin without gagging. good luck.
