Its also given to asthmatic children with severe symptoms. I had it with my last baby thank God I had no side effects. He was definitely allergic and the nurses supposed to realize that. They need to fire her,because she should've known better and not give him until the doctor came back. This is very sad😭😭😭 these poor parents 😭😭😭

I got this when I was having my triplet back in 2001.My triplet eventually died but I live to tell the story.It was indeed painful,I almost died, because I had to be rushed to the delivery room, because it caused me to bleed out after it was administered.It is painful, I am crying remembering that ordeal.I felt the babies in distress after it was administered.And it all went downhill after that.I experience all what you are saying.God spared my life to tell my story today.

A mag drip is the most painful thing I ever experienced in life and it was a last resort in a case of preeclampsia. They tried everything to avoid administering. So that child was in PAIN.

You know, doctors and medical professionals need to do better. When I went to the hospital in Jamaica for a pulmonary embolism the doctor was amazing. I had to do a CT and she asked if I am allergic to anything. I said shellfish- she was like ok the contrast dye for the CT has something or the other in it and you might be allergic to that cause it’s found in shellfish. She gave me a shot of hydrocortisone and then they did the test. It went perfectly! I didn’t even think I had an embolism, it’s the medical staff that tell me you not leaving here without a CT scan. They pushed for more testing not me. They were soooo good. And I am glad they saved me. We need more doctors like that.

As a parent and someone in the medical field,I felt sick to the stomach when I listened to the parents story and when I heard the word magnesium sulfate I totally lost it 😏
