Having a child to take care of you when you are old is not a reason to have a child. That is selfish. Also, the money you would save from not having that kid will easily pay for great care when you are old

My two oldest kids say they don't want any either, and ya know what .. more power to you! I'm so sick of hearing people say "oh just wait you'll change your mind!". And if they do, they do. But if they don't, they'll still have amazing fulfilled lives.

Kids are not obligated to care for you. Quite frankly family members should not be doing a lot of personal cares. Having kids doesn’t mean they can or will care for you. I’m childfree for many reasons. But my job (elder abuse investigations) sure has reinforced it.
