@a.way.to.a.fresh.start: Meet Ashley, 36, from Jacksonville, FL. She has been homeless for the past two months and is due to welcome her baby boy on September 12th. The women’s shelter has only 18 beds. Even if she’s in line first, women and children are priority, which leaves Ashley on the streets most nights. Right now, I’m working on getting enough donations to get Ashley into a hotel so she doesn’t have to spend her final weeks of pregnancy on the streets. The constant yelling, arguing, and chaos outside is no place for anyone, especially a mother about to give birth.
