actually there's an entire news blip about the bugs chucking rocks at earth. They have an entire defense system around earth designed to shoot them.

nope, they had already established earlier in the movie the bugs could shoot asteroids... and she didn't bump it it was already on it's way. it was so massive it had it's own gravity

If she changed the trajectory it wouldn’t have traced back to the bug planet… since thier comms were down Earth would not have had that info when retracing the pathing..

The asteroid was already on its way towards Earth. They just happened to kick into it because she changed the course. If you know anything about physics size and mass are everything. That ship doesn’t have the mass to change that asteroid’s trajectory.

I guess we are forgetting the novel, the bugs did use asteroids as weapons, however they were retaliating when man started to colonize worlds in their territories.
