As an ex betrayed spouse, it makes me sick how often on social media people are trying to justify and normalize betrayal. There is no justification for cheating and it is not okay, period. I wonder how the ex husband feels.

Life isn’t black and white. There’s so much nuance, I was cheated on. Honestly, they are still together today and I realize they were probably a better fit. It was only my ego wanting to keep him. Yes it hurts.. but humans aren’t property.

Honestly the comments here are sending me. Life is not black and white. We are complex beings and not everything is one size fits all. The people judging need to learn to sit with their discomfort and see alternative points of view.

Love and feelings don’t fit into neat little boxes like some of you think. Sometimes marriage kills more than it nurtures. People don’t want to stay dead emotionally, so once they feel something else they choose to feel alive again. It’s very complicated, stop judging.

This is not a story of growth and more like someone justifying betrayal. The issue wasn’t just the marriage it was her unwillingness to face hard truths without first stepping outside the commitment. If she’s capable of leaving when she feels stuck, what happens when her “soulmate” eventually feels the same? This isn’t about freedom it’s about avoidance.

I’m so sick of the narrative that people believe you are stuck with one person for life.You have the right to divorce, leave, move on unfortunately someone will be hurt but this narrative that you are stuck with someone for life is the dumbest thing. Sometimes we pick wrong, we get older wiser, we realize the person we picked years ago is not for us. Normalize leaving relationships that don’t align.
