@xxlilarose: I went on a canoe trip with my beloved in northern Ontario and spotted these wild water lilies. I’ve documented water lilies before, but not in the wild like this. It was actually pretty hard to capture them in a canoe (we kept floating around lol). Wait for the end for some real-time admiration 😭 Hot fact about water lilies: Water lilies can purify the water they grow in. Their big floating leaves block sunlight from the water below, which helps prevent algae growth, while their roots absorb nutrients that might otherwise pollute the pond. Well… ladida. I’m using a device that translates a plant’s bioelectrical activity into sound. By attaching electrodes to the leaves, the device detects subtle changes in electrical conductivity, which naturally fluctuate as the plant responds to its environment. These fluctuations are then converted into music via a tiny synth. 🫶🏼 May we honor and respect nature as our home, because… it is! Love, Lila Rose P.s Thanks to my gorgeous man for always being down to chat with flowers. I love you.
