I love the LEC’s content, but Caedrel’s casting is my go-to. I still get the desk segments on his stream, so it doesn't make sense for me as a viewer to swap streams, no matter how good the main broadcast content is.

For me personally and I don’t represent everyone but the LEC broadcast does too much. Last weekend was the first time I tuned out because there were four people on a fake beach and in a hot tub. I get that it’s a bit of fun but like this is meant to be a professional scene 😂 these games do matter and have real implications to jobs and organisations. It’s being run more like a children/young adults weekend morning show than a professional esports broadcast currently imo.

While i do agree with trying to improve, i also think the lec is way past that point. These were steps that needed to be implemented before costreaming. And it s so sad. Because the cast is amazing, the talent is amazing. But I feel like your hands are tied as cast members.

It’s because the co-streamers are uncensored most times. They’ll say whatever is on their mind and the fans love that, smack talking is a part of the game.

Yeah, not all costreams are equal,for example for me as a Spanish speaking person it makes no sense to watch the main LEC casting because they aren't an option to begin with. A lot of people forget that and put Caedrel and Ibai or Kameto in the same bag.

I watch caedrel everyday when he streams because it’s always entertaining and fun, I also always watch his stream instead of the lecs channel when games are being played, but I still think that the casters and production are always making it entertaining!

The thing is that whatever happens on broadcast I also see on the co-stream, so even if the main broadcast has these cool segments if I get to see them still but also see the co-streamer I have 0 reasons to leave regardless of how entertaining the main one is

Yeah, I feel you. I have seen you give this product your everything through the years and it can be frustrating when you try your best but you have limited resources. The restrictions you have as a official riot broadcast make it so people feel like its too corporate so they turn to the co-streamers for a natural entertainment without limits. And then you have people complaining internally too. I feel sorry for you

I think in this situation you have to do the best you can do with the tools you are given. Whilst it’s important to advocate change, realistically the LEC bosses decisions ultimately are their job and they’ll be judged for it whether that’s by their jobs or whatever. Think of it like a ship, and everyone has to perform their role correctly. If the navigator doesn’t have the correct maps or up to date maps then the ship will chart off course and could ultimately run itself into ground or capsize. That’s the LEC broadcast at the moment floundering for what it’s trying to be or wants to be and every split it goes through another personality. All I can say is do the best you can do at your job and flourish in yourself whilst feeling passionate about something is good realistically as you’ve admitted the strategic decisions by your employer are out of your hands. Talent will always be talent and will always be employable and how the LEC behaves as a mechanism is by no means representative of yourself or your colleagues.

I get it and I hope ya’ll find a way to make things “interesting”! I like what they did with the players in the hot tub and I think the summer trailer was a banger! Now that you’re back for the summer aswell, I am expecting an even bigger banger for the summer so I hope you’re cooking something for us, I’ll be there, on the main broadcast to watch it!

I think a lot is just the constraints of being the official broadcast. Like I loved the beach last week, and I'll watch the Lec channel for high-stakes games between good teams to get an in depth analysis of the game and play by play. But when it comes to regular split, you can't just call a 15k throw as what is is - a clown fiesta. Which co-streamers can. And in games between the bottom teams I don't need an in depth analysis and would rather have a more funny commentary mixed with anecdotes of Co-streamers because those games are more like background entertainment. In those games, if I didn't watch co-streamers I wouldn't watch LEC at all but rather another stream/movie/whatever. Most regular split games I watch for the streamer and not for the game.
