Hollow Knight bosses are the perfect example of how easy it is to accept loss when the boss fight feels fair. The controls are intuitive enough that you almost always have a grasp on what you could have done differently to avoid the loss, and most of the bosses telegraph in such a way that a skilled enough player, however unlikely, could win on the first try.
