So the Mechanicus cult is located on Mars, its faction is so big and powerful they rival the imperium. They are literally their own faction, they don't even worship the emporer, they worship a half-dead chaos God that lives in the core of the planet

I think it makes sense for Pasqal in the way he kind of comes to despise almost your entire retinue in a way other companions just don't. Yrliet isn't even the only companion he can betray in his endings. Both Jae and Ulfar almost die because of him
