Why not contact the police as soon as you got your money back? A crime has been committed, regardless of whether she paid you back or not. I worry about other past/future victims.

You will get your money back the court will make them sell their assets. I’m going through the same thing at the moment. Lost £40k and four years of my life waiting. Definitely go to the police. It matters.

I was defrauded twice in different matters that cost me heavy. The police were useless and didn't want to investigate. Now I'm having to go to High Court to sue . One was a bank the other my stepmother and her bent solicitors who are going to get struck off after being jailed for Contempt!

I would have gone to the police straight away. How do you prevent her from committing the same sort of theft again? How do you stop her practising? Wouldn’t yours or her business insurance have covered the loss in any case? It doesn’t make any sense to me that you wouldn’t report her immediately, unless this was an off-the-books cash in hand operation, which is dodgy to start with.

Honestly if mine did it? I’d be round his office watching while he transfers every penny back while I supervise the process quite intensely, possibly with a couple of friends.

I’m an accountant I never call on my clients behalf I make them call and I also ensure they always input their own bank details not me

what was her excuse? Did she say it was error or did she admit dhe was stealing? I understand the reluctant but I would report her. The next person sge does ut to could be left in a realky difficult situation. How did you work out it was £92k?

should go to police. fraud is fraud including theft by deception. give her the opportunity to pay back 1st 🤔🤔 only problem with that is she may well do it to someone else to get your money back you still have to stump up the tax cost. she needs a lesson 😇
