With kids things happen so quickly and they can be so sneaky. Clearly the pill was hidden and kids find EVERYTHING. She was found with it before swallowing so clearly she’s being watched and cared for, that speaks volumes

this happened to us. but it was a bp medication and a beta blocker 🥴 thank goodness I found it on my pre check of the room. I was so annoyed.

Just so you do know, when you book via a 3rd party, all of that info you posted (children, etc) doesn’t come through to the hotel. There is not a “additional clean” or something that is done because children will be in the room. You get a “specific clear” or a “specific room” if you book something like feather free for example. Those are specific rooms that don’t change. Another example is if the hotel allows dogs, those rooms are normally specific ones that don’t change either. So this is 100% on the hotels cleaning crew for not cleaning the room properly.

I saw a comment about how their vacuums don't reach under the beds- then that should be fixed! you saw all the other bits under there. dogs/babies should be safe in a freshly cleaned room.

things happen so fast when it happens with kids. it is 100% the hotels responsibility to clean up things like pills. if it was a needle this conversation would look alot different from people questioning you.

1) vacuums won’t reach under the bed. 2) why are u touching an unknown pill with bare hands? 3) the ages of guests are kept for emergencies incase the hotel has to be evacuated.

What’s the point of hotels having that gap to clean out rooms and make sure it is clean and safe for the next guest to check in, what’s the point when this hotel obviously didn’t take those precautions when cleaning and preparing the room for the next guest that’s could’ve lead to a very harmful incident, that would’ve caused hotel to be at fault. No matter how well you supervise you child, children are quick and the slightest second anything could go wrong the hotel should be held accountable for not following safety precautions for their rooms.
