@emsavenger: I don't know if I have ever been so humbled, and had such an immediate re-ordering of my priorities as I have in one single moment back in 2005. EMS starts and ends with caring about other people. Medicine begins and ends with caring about other people. And it's the through-line on everything else in between. #EMS #EMT #EMTS #PARAMEDICS #firstresponders #paramedicsoftiktok
i never comment on these things, and have listened to a great deal of your content over the years. the fact you would share this, speaks volumes about you as a man. I'm a big fan, and thankful that we all have had people put in our path, to show us things along the way. its how we grow and mature, if we only take the opportunity. keep up the great content, it matters-- brent stephens

In a similar vein, I had a partner always say they didn't want to be the best EMT, but they always wanted to be the preferred EMT. Someone that people are relieved to see walk in the door. It's not all about skills and knowledge, but about people and how you make them feel. It's been 12 years and I still carry that with me.

It’s funny I always had that same attitude until I started working as a civilian paramedic for a fire department. I experienced firsthand that not one person in the fire service understood that thought process. Not the department I worked for anyway. 🤷🏼♂️

Learning the lesson that we are here to care for people who need care is the lesson worth living. It became the true driving force to always seek improvement in self worth even in retirement. Thank you for this!!

I still don’t get why you can be a paramedic with doing less than a years worth of training even put ambulance practitioners do 18-24 months of training
