When my own father r@ped me from age 7-13, God was no where to be found. I grew up Catholic, (went to church about every Sunday till age 16 when I came out about the abuse), read the gospel out loud in church, sang, altar served, more importantly along all that I begged God to save me from the very man who was supposed to protect me, instead I ended up saving myself with evidence, I’m 20 years old and still fighting to save myself in court and God is still no where to be found.

As an abused child who prayed for god to save me, my father prayed for guidance from god while beating us, god answered his prayers instead of mine. This is so good, and you’re asking what needs to be asked. Very well said 🩷

we talked about this in an English college class when I was in highschool. When two countries are at war and they pray to the same God, who gets protected? Is it whoever prayed first? Who prayed longer? Who prayed harder?

Can a knife be evil??? Belief doesn’t mean God will answer your prayer with a yes. I can believe in God and pray for wicked things. God answers prayers that are within his will. God is not a genie waiting to make your wishes come true just because you believe in Him.
