My 18 month old has his own tablet its actually very educational id u use it right. My son is playing this game that teaches him his animals . He knows all his farm animals now. Just can’t let the kid be on it all day for long period of time . My son only use his tablet for education and car rides . He’s not on it for long hours and it’s every other day. Sometimes he doesn’t even touch his tablet. Trust me it’s perfectly healthy .

We are not gonna be mad about your kid having a tablet but some people might be mad and this is why : Brain development: At this age, their brain grows fastest through real-world interaction — touching, tasting, crawling, listening to real voices — not tapping a screen. • Speech delay: Too much passive screen time can slow language development. • Sleep problems: Bright screens before naps or bedtime can make it harder for them to fall asleep. • Attention span: Early heavy screen use can make it harder for kids to focus later.

I have no problem with parents buying their kids technology from a young age however it is important that there not on it 24/7. A lot of parents will take it away if they’re doing something bad but if you let them be on it 24/7 that is subconsciously There coping mechanism for everything. Because if there happy iPad if they are sad iPad if they if they did something bad and are not sure what to do No iPad and that is why you will see a lot of kids throwing tantrums when you take away their technology because they have not learned how to fell emotions with out it (sorry this is so long) just make sure to teach your kids when they are sad or mad to explain to them what is happening and then wait 10-15 min before you give them technology agen
