Allow me to elaborate a bit further, I’m not saying that you shouldn’t do cardio.🚫 I’m saying that you shouldn’t do cardio for the primary focus being Fat Loss because it’s not efficient.✅ No. 1 doing long durations of cardio is not burning as many calories as you think. Even the most strenuous cardio session that can last 45 mins to 1 hour is going to only burn anywhere from 500 to 600 calories. Which is not a lot considering the fact that the average American consumes 3500 calories per day. What would be more efficient & easier to do is to just remove that 500 calories from your diet! No 2, what would be more effective for fat loss is to primarily focus on progressive overload strength training. The more you increase your muscle mass the more calories you burn at rest, you’re basically increasing your basal metabolic rate. This is important because increasing your metabolic rate will allow your body to be able to withstand more food & make it easier for you to adhere to your calorie deficit! Bottom line , I want you to do cardio to improve your cardiovascular health & endurance, not to “Burn Body Fat”. Now if you need help with eating in calorie deficit & progressive overload strength training to finally get rid of the mid-section and love handles….
