It's Friday and all the locals are off work. Last day for Haunted Mansion for a couple weeks, and it was HOT today. Cools down in the evening.

In reality, the magic feels manufactured, replaced by overhype and marketing that convinces people to pay a fortune for a day of waiting in line under the sun.

Luckily we got there at 1 yesterday and both parking structures and parks were empty. Ila’s we switched to DCA we saw the lines starting to form to go into Disneyland around 5 😂

they’ve been filming for the last two weeks. this video shows when they physically stopped letting people in because they were filming on Main Street and didn’t want all the foot traffic. i can’t remember the name of the series they’re filming for but they’ve been shutting down certain areas of the park for it. the cast members don’t let anyone hang around and will direct you to keep moving. this must’ve been easier for the director given the time of day and it didn’t last long.
