They say Instagram shows the highlight reel. And it’s true, our travel photos are filled with smiles, and the most beautiful memories. You’ll see so many influencer parents with the perfect house, perfectly dressed kids, perfect lunch box, and dreamy, Insta-worthy travels even with kids and you can’t help but wonder… but HOW? But here’s the other side, the truth! Kids are kids, some show it and some don't . Missed naps, mid-trip meltdowns, jet lag, “I’m not eating that!” negotiations, naps at the wrong time, cranky kids, endless sleep schedule juggling, and parents surviving on two-hour naps, caffeine, and reluctantly approved screen time, that’s part of EVERY parent’s life, no matter how perfect it looks online. Yes, our kids were great, cooperative (mostly!), and full of joy - and Kaushik and I feel unbelievably lucky to be their parents. But not every moment is picture-perfect. And that’s the reality. Because parenthood isn’t just about the smiles in the frame, it’s about everything in between. It's about showing up, staying patient, holding boundaries, and teaching values through the everyday chaos. It’s about raising kind, strong, whole humans, and that’s no small feat. So here’s to the unseen work. The beautiful, exhausting, soul-stretching rigor of raising tiny people. Kaushik and I like most parents travel not just to explore the world, but to show our kids what it means to be curious, patient, adaptable, and kind. And that lesson is worth every tantrum. #parenthood #toddlerparents #kids #familyoffour #twokids #travellingwithkids
