If you watch the full bodycam footage, you’ll see the officer attempted to use less lethal force to neutralize the suspect (taser and baton) and they were ineffective. The man grabbed for his neck, which can be considered a use of deadly force, and the officer responded appropriately. My heart goes out to the family of the victim, the officer himself, and the officer’s family.

God bless the police. So many things go wrong when people do not do what police request. Almost all events including George Floyd that end with someone getting hurst should start the description about what happened with ‘while resisting arrest . . . .’ . This never is the news media description. People stop resisting arrest! Do what is requested by the police. If a cop says jump you respond ‘how high’. This approach would keep many from getting hurt both police and those resisting arrest.
