If you have decent knowledge of class politics you realize that transformers one is bar for bar exactly what would happen in places like Germany and Russia with socialists and fascists. When the monarchy’s were dying many working class people (like miners) would join unions. Many others who were often disgruntled veterans (ringing any bells?) who blamed the unionists and socialists for losing the war because socialists would often disrupt military drafts due to their anti-imperialist stance. This created a massive divide which couldn’t be fixed even if they once fight side by side. The decepticons are the fascists and the autobots are the socialists, trade unionists, and even anarchists. Cybertron is basically just a projection of the real world.
