I will never forget being called “incompetent” by a doctor (oh hey Dr Frank, hope you kicked that perc habit) while a newly graduated nurse. My incompetence in question? Asking him to do a timeout before a procedure and apparently “taking too long to verify”.

Most of the doctors I’ve worked with have been respectful and consider nurses colleagues. HOWEVER, there is still a significant group who are toxic!!! When will they learn???

The abuse is outrageous, but I find the filming of a surgery LIVE on FACEBOOK just as disturbing. What if the patient coded?! We shouldn't be filming any patient care unless it's for educational purposes, the patient is ALERT, consenting & compensated some how. just my opinion.
